Effective date: 8 September 2026 — Version: 1.4
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and SSByte ("SSByte", "we", "us"), a company established in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the operator of the iMenu service ("iMenu", the "Service"). They govern your registration for and use of iMenu, including the menu builder and the public menu pages it publishes. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
You accept these Terms by ticking the box labelled "I have read and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy" at registration and creating an account. This is an affirmative, binding acceptance. If you do not agree, do not register for or use the Service.
If you register on behalf of a restaurant or other business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business, and "you" includes it. Wherever the Service refers to the "Terms of Service", it means this document.
2. The Service
iMenu is a menu-building platform for restaurants and similar businesses. As an account owner you can create digital menus (text and images you upload) and publish them as public web pages at imenu.ssbyte.com/m/{your-slug}, delivered through a content delivery network (CDN).
The Service runs on Google Firebase infrastructure located in the United States (us-central1). Diners view published menus without signing in and without being profiled; we record aggregate counters such as page views and contact-link clicks, together with a short-lived one-way technical code used only to avoid double-counting and to limit abuse of the report link. The Privacy Policy describes exactly what this involves.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
3. Accounts
- Provide accurate, current registration information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account; if you sign in with Google, you are responsible for securing that Google account.
- Accounts are personal: one account per person, not to be shared or transferred.
- Notify us promptly at legal@ssbyte.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. User Content & Acceptable Use
This section is the heart of our agreement about the menus you publish. Please read it carefully.
Your Content
You are solely responsible for all text, names, descriptions, images, logos and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights and licenses necessary to submit and publish Your Content, and that it does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other right, and is lawful, accurate and non-deceptive.
Prohibited Content
You will not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, sexual, explicit, obscene, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate.
License to iMenu
You grant iMenu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, reformat or resize, and publicly display and distribute Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service and publishing your menu (including via CDN). This license terminates when you delete the content or your account, except for residual backups and cached copies, and except that image files you have uploaded remain stored — and reachable by direct link — until erased; the Privacy Policy explains this and how to have a specific image erased.
Removal & Suspension
iMenu may remove, disable, or suspend any content or account at its discretion, including on receipt of a takedown notice, with or without notice.
Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify and hold iMenu harmless from any claims, damages, losses and costs (including legal fees) arising out of Your Content or your breach of these Terms.
5. Plans, Fees & Add-Ons
iMenu offers a Free plan and a Pro plan; the features and limits of each are described in the Service and on our pricing page. Paid add-ons are also available — currently USD 5 per month for each additional live menu or additional business beyond what your plan includes.
Pro subscriptions and paid add-ons are recurring subscription charges. Online payment is not yet available: charges are currently agreed and recorded manually, and we will tell you how and when to pay. We may introduce online billing later, with notice.
We may change prices or plan limits with reasonable advance notice; changes take effect from your next billing period. Fees already paid are not refunded for partial or unused periods, except where the law requires otherwise.
If fees remain unpaid, we may, after notice, downgrade your account or unpublish menus that exceed your plan.
6. Publishing & Removal
Publishing a menu makes it publicly available on the internet. Whether you can publish, and how many live menus or businesses you can have, depends on your plan and add-ons.
We may unpublish, remove, or disable any published content that violates Section 4 or these Terms, and we may act on takedown notices. If you believe content published through iMenu infringes your copyright or other rights, send a notice identifying the content, its location (URL), your rights, and your contact details to legal@ssbyte.com. We may unpublish contested content while we review a notice, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Intellectual Property
The iMenu platform — including its software, design, logos, and trademarks — belongs to SSByte and its licensors. These Terms transfer none of it to you; you receive only a limited right to use the Service while your account is in good standing.
You keep ownership of Your Content; we use it only under the license in Section 4. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may delete your account from Settings in the app. Deleting your account unpublishes your menus and website immediately and permanently erases your account and its content 30 days later; you may cancel within those 30 days, which restores your account but does not republish your menus. We may suspend or terminate your account as described in Section 4, or with notice if you otherwise breach these Terms or where the law requires it.
On termination, your published menus are unpublished and their public pages stop being served (cached copies may take a short time to expire). Your data is then retained or deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive — including the content-license residuals, indemnity, liability limits, and governing law — survive termination.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Menus are created by their owners. As between you and your diners, you alone are responsible for the accuracy of your menu — names, prices, descriptions, availability, and any allergen or dietary information.
If you turn on the optional prize-draw feature, you alone are responsible for administering it lawfully — including any rules, disclosures or registrations that apply to promotions or sweepstakes where you operate — and for the prize you offer and award. iMenu only provides the entry form and stores the entries diners submit to it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. SSByte's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is capped at the total fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Each version is dated and archived. For material changes we will notify you and ask you to accept the updated Terms again before you continue using the Service; minor corrections take effect when posted. The version you accepted remains available on request.
11. Governing Law & Contact
These Terms are governed by, and construed under, the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any dispute arising out of or relating to them is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Jordan [venue to be confirmed].
